DFS has shown itself to be outstanding in more fields than one. The DFS stand used at the annual World ATM Congress has won three design awards in total, the most prestigious of which came in the last few days: winner of the German Design Award 2022 for highest design quality.
DFS, the German air navigation service provider, is still one of the only exhibitors with a two-storey stand at the World ATM Congress in Madrid. In its many years of use, the double-decker stand has offered 100 square metres of space for presentations, discussions and meetings with our international partners and customers over the three days of the Congress. On the subject of sustainability, the DFS booth also stands out. The construction is largely made of wood and recyclable materials.
Since 2017, the stand in Madrid has proven to be the ideal platform for customers and partners for discussions, product presentations and get-togethers. It is a fine example of the innovative designs originating in Germany. In recent months, it has also stood out in other fields, especially the field of architecture and design.
The most prestigious award to date was handed out by the German Design Council. Its awards are among the most recognised design awards worldwide, with competing entries submitted from across the globe. DFS won in the category Excellent Architecture Fair and Exhibition. "We see all these awards as confirmation of our aspiration to be outstanding in all we do, whether in our operational business or in the field of communications. We are all the more pleased that this is now also being recognised outside our immediate industry," said Fabio Ramos, Director of Corporate Communications as DFS.
The stand received its first award just under half a year ago, when the German Design Council selected it as the winner of the ICONIC AWARDS 2021: Innovative Architecture. The award was publicly presented on 11 October 2021 at the Expo Real in Munich, Germany.
The second prize came in the form of an honourable mention in Exhibitor Magazine, which is published in the United States and is considered one of the leading magazines in the trade fair and exhibition space.
The latest award was to be presented at a ceremony at the Ambiente 2022, the international consumer goods fair, in Frankfurt, Germany, which was unfortunately cancelled due to the pandemic. Despite this setback all eyes are on the build-up for the next event, which is in full swing, with Madrid offering the perfect ambience. This year once again, the stand will offer ample opportunity for meeting customers and contacts, for presenting and demonstrating products, at the World ATM Congress 2022, which will take place from 21 to 23 June 2022.
