Ensuring safety means ensuring open communication. This is why DFS fosters open communication on safety and security issues. This includes the publication of safety-related information and insights for air traffic controllers and other operational staff. There are also regular general briefings for the entire workforce, for example on the topic of IT security.
We employ various, increasingly digital, information channels. In addition to a newsletter in which various safety issues are tackled in depth, we have set up an annual series of events on the topic of safety that lasts several weeks. As part of the series, the DFS Safety & Security Awards are also presented for outstanding achievements in the field of safety and security.
