DFS has its Headquarters in Langen, Germany, between the cities of Frankfurt and Darmstadt. In addition to the Headquarters, the DFS Air Navigation Services Academy, where our trainee air traffic controllers learn their jobs, is also located there, as well as the Technical Centre and the Systems House (IT). Langen is also home to one of the four control centres spread throughout Germany. In addition, DFS operates at all 15 designated international airports in Germany.
DFS controls air traffic in German airspace. This means our sites are spread all over Germany – from Hamburg in the north to Munich in the south, from Düsseldorf in the west to Dresden in the east. Our controllers monitor take-offs and landings at the 15 designated international airports in Germany. Our area control centres are located in Bremen, Karlsruhe, Langen and Munich. The Headquarters of DFS is located in Langen.
