Purposes and legal basis of the data processing
Data processing is used to handle customer requests (e.g. military units, airlines, private pilots, professional pilots, associations, airports).
Legal basis for data processing
The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR and Article 6(1)(c) GDPR in conjunction with Section 1 of the German Freedom of Information Act (IFG) and Section 3 of the German Environmental Information Act (UIG).
We require a functioning customer management to fully provide the legally prescribed services. This enables DFS to pass on information about (technical and operational) changes and inform customers about short-term events in a timely manner. The purpose of this is to ensure safety in German airspace.

Data will be used for internal purposes and, if other units are affected, will be forwarded to them.
Transmission of personal data to a third country
This will not happen.
Retention period of personal data
DFS will store all requests and applications that contain personal data for ten years. After ten years, these issues including all personal data will be deleted.
