DFS, the German air navigation service provider, is expanding its range of digital information services available online free of charge

The German-language publication Nachrichten für Luftfahrer (NfL) is now available for free on the DFS website.

The NfL functions as the official gazette of German aviation. The publication contains binding regulations, aeronautical notices and supplementary information for pilots, airlines and other industry stakeholders. DFS already offers a variety of aviation-related data free of charge as part of its online services. Similar to the Aeronautical Information Publication (AIP), the currently valid NfLs are now available to view at https://aip.dfs.de/basicAIP/. (The language of the interface can be switched to English using the flag on the bottom right.)

This addition provides all airspace users with centralised, free access to essential aviation information in German. This move stems from a directive issued by the German Federal Ministry of Transport.

The NfL – including the expired entries – remains available through the usual distribution channels.
